Seeing as how DxO released their iPhone X scores today and scored the iPhone X higher on the photography end, I wanna step in and disagree. As an owner of the Pixel XL 2 since launch and a new owner of the iPhone X, I believe the Pixel XL 2 to have the superior camera. I have a very keen eye for photography and have taken photos for many years. I have also owned every major flagship phone since the original iphone. The pixel requires way less fuss to get a great shot, the portrait/ bokeh photos are vastly superior to the X. I didn't see a section for front facing camera on the DxO review but the portrait mode and front facing camera are also superior. Overall point and shoot photos IMO are easier to grab on the Pixel XL 2. I don't take DxO as gospel, but I do find it hard to believe that I can see such a difference in the photo quality yet the scores don't reflect that. Your thoughts?

what are their scores? How could you leave that information out in the OP?

edit: It's still below pixel 2 dude. Pixel 2 has 98 and Iphone X is 97, according to this video.

I don't know how the hell the note 8 is a 100. Can't take this seriously. But whatever.. Some relatively random site setting up arbitrary scores lol. From the videos and shots I've seen personally, I think 2 and X are neck and neck. They're just good at slightly different situations, and it does help that Iphone x has an actual(non digital zoom).

Apple iPhone X is highest rated for still photography. Overall Pixel 2 is the champ.

The scores aren't out of 100. We should be seeing scores over a 100 when the next round of flagships roll around.

They are both great cameras. Does it really matter to anyone what the scores are?

Note 8 got a 94... What scores are you looking at?

Click on the phone within the list and scroll to the bottom of the article (above the comments). They have scores for still / photos and then video. The overall in the listing is just the "average" you could say.

Yeah, you can't go wrong with any of the cameras in the top 5. Only thing I wish the pixel has is optical zoom since I find that actually pretty useful.
