Pixel 2 Launcher and Camera App Anyone?

launcher's just fine, i like the "at a glance" widget

I like both apps and they are working on my OG XL. But what I'm noticing is incredible battery drain. I have noticed the phone feels a bit warmer as well. Prior to loading these, I could go off charger at 7:00 AM and make it to about 8:00 PM with 50% left.
Today I had to hit the charger at 5:00 PM with 20% showing, charged it to ,96% and at 12:33 AM I have 56% left with light usage since coming off charger at 5:45 PM.

Well that sucks if it's the case.

I wonder if anyone has found any real benefits of the photo app (besides an additional feature/two) regarding use of new/advanced algorithms that affect photo quality.

Anyone?

I installed both. But, I had to factory reset because of a GMail issue. So I'm not sure about the battery drain. Don't notice the pictures being any better than before.

Didn't have it that long. I think the search bar at the bottom is best on the 2 XL with the bigger screen. It looked a little too cluttered on the bottom of the phone, so I went back to the "stock" launcher. Camera has a couple new features but nothing ground breaking.

I like the launcher, but don't see the point of using the new camera right now. how do I revert back to the original camera app ?

Go into your app manager and disable your camera. It will revert back to the factory version.
