Pixel 2 out going voice quality using speaker

Does anyone elses contacts report poor voice quality/distortion when they receive a phone call from pixel 2 via speaker phone option? Our pixel 2 delivers distorted voice quality when using Speaker fumtion only. Speakers grills are clear, no drops , no water damage ever.

Okay. Maybe bad mic since the ear piece pics up voice during speaker phone calls. Safe Mode didn't seem to improve it either. using eSim but doubt that has anything to do with it.

Any other suggestions or is a replacement on a month old phone inevitable?

The problem will certainly be easy to demonstrate to Google support to qualify for a replacement.
