Pixel 2 snapchat notifications not grouping together, how to fix?

My Pixel 2 snapchat notifications not grouping together.
Apps such as whatsapp or facebook messenger will allow me to pull down to see all the notifications, but if I don't pull down it will stay grouped into one notification.
Every individual notification from snapchat comes as its own notification and it is very annoying as it floods my notification tray.

Is there anyway to fix this issue?

Don't use that app myself but if other applications behave correctly then it sounds like it's time to complain to the Snapchat developers.
Send them an email first and if you don't get any useful feedback then give the app a negative review in the Google Play Store.
