Pixel 2 upgrade to Android 11, not booting

Hi,
Upgraded my Pixel 2 XL from Android 8 to 11. Now it crashes on boot. Have done a factory reset, same issue. Sometimes it makes it to the lock screen for half a second, mostly not. It does flash on 'Shutting Down' for a split second as it shuts down.

Not sure what my next step is? try to reinstall the OS through my laptop? or a previous OS?

Any pointers?

How did you do the update -- from the System Update menu, or did you manually flash it? If it was through the menu, did it go through multiple updates? Going from Oreo to Android 11 would probably mean having to go through many separate updates (including monthly patches) before completing.

If the bootloader is unlocked, flash the October firmware (or December, if you're brave - it caused problems for me with both TWRP and Magisk). If the bootloader is still locked, you might not be able to unlock it before it crashes. (I don't know of any way to release bootloader unlocking, except through the developer menu.)
