For those who have both or have used both extensively, what are your thoughts about which device your prefer and why? I know this is an Android forum so it’s biased but really just want to hear from people who have used both for long periods of time.

I overall prefer my 2 XL but there are some things I really miss from my X when I’m using my 2 XL.

I had the iPhone 7 and google pixel xl and upgraded to the iPhone X and Pixel 2 XL. I returned the Pixel 2 XL and kept the iPhone X. The new Pixel offers nothing significant over the OG XL whereas th iPhone X is a game changer, most significant is the wireless charging (I like it better than I thought I would) and the large screen.

I returned the new Pixel because the blue tint was horrible, no wireless charging, the 2-speaker sound wasn’t a huge upgrade (and still inferior to the X) and Now Playing for me didn’t work consistently.

Plus I have the blue OG XL with Google Care (or whatever it’s called), so I decided to keep the OG.

Lastly, the OG still has a headphone jack, so that is a small benefit too.

I had a 256GB iPhone X, but I sold it after a month because I didn't like the closed ecosystem. All of my products at home are Google products. I still want a device that'll get frequent security updates so I'll probably pick up the Stormtrooper Pixel 2 XL in a week. I don't miss the X, tbh. It was essentially the same as the 7 Plus I had before it, but with FaceID. Meh. I don't think it was worth the $1,149 I paid for it.
