Pixel 2 XL headphone and charger adapter combo

Hey ya'll,

I am looking for an adapter to simultaneously charge my phone and listen to my 3.5mm headphones, while I fall as asleep. I tried these but they didn't work:

Type C to 3.5mm Audio Headphone Jack Adapter, Tontion 2 in 1 Nylon Braided Type C Charger and 3.5 mm Audio Headphone Jack Conversion Adapter.​

The ones on the google store, the Moshi USB-C to 3.5 mm Adapter/Charger for $44.95 are a bit steep. Anyone have an adapter that works that they recommend?

I ordered a cheapo eBay adapter a few weeks ago for about a dollar. No clue if it'll work but I'll let you know when it arrives!

The cheapo adapters will never work because they do not include a DAC (digital audio converter) required for the headphones and power to run at the same time.

I did. $45. Seemed like an Apple move. Usually you can find cheaper and equally effective versions on Amazon but, in this particular case, that may not be true.

I might just plunk down the cash since my next trip is 29 hours. I don't want to use up the battery on my phone on the plane then be sitting in a Nairobi airport with no battery.

Ugh... I just went to look and it says "coming soon." I have about 30 days so I'll hope it appears.

Correction of myself.... Just chatted with Google. It is just out of stock. I thought "Coming Soon" means it hasn't been offered yet.

I thought I read recently that Google has decided not to sell theirs. I think it's been removed from their site. That tells me that there may be a problem with the whole concept.
