All ive been doing the past 15-20 minutes is reading articles from Forbes and my phone is almost hot to the touch. Any ideas on what to do. This is not normal at all and just started today.
I see that you are a new user here - welcome to Android Central! You also posted a thread about your battery life. If your phone is also overheating like this, I recommend contacting Google immediately. Also, if you do charge your phone, do not leave it plugged in unattended.
You stated it was hot to the touch - how hot are we talking? Very warm, or did it hurt you? Please be careful, and keep us posted!
I'm having a similar problem. it gets hot when charging, and it has always charged very slowly. I notice it on some apps. When streaming content but also when reading content such as Google news. It does not burn my hand to the touch, but it is uncomfortable to hold. And is anyone else having an issue with quick charge not really charging quickly?
My Pixel 2 XL will get mildly warm when charging. I'm using the charger that came with my phone.
The faster a charger works, the harder it is on the battery and it will have an adverse effect on battery life. Google has designed charging to be slower than in years past. Charging occurs faster when first charging and slows down significantly when nearing a full charge in order to prolong battery life.
