Pixel 3 Anyone

Okay, so it's got a notch and a chin - we already knew it would. Have their been any changes? Or is this just a Pixel 2 with a new name?

I already know (through certain sources) that the Google warehouse is completely out of Pixel 2s, so that might mean that they already have 3s and are just waiting for a release date. But what do they have? What did they do the the phone that the 2 doesn't have? When are they going to confirm any of that?

Everybody has a right to their opinion and personal taste in design aesthetics. But, like all things, some people will hate the design while others will like it just fine.

Ouch... I don't like the looks, but I am not as upset as most folks. There does seem to be a swarm of negativity around the design and features (or lack of). The diehards will learn to love it, others may too. It's all opinion anyway I guess. What do you perceive as of value?

Still it seems that so far the perception of the Pixel 3 XL has been mostly poor (include myself in that group). It will run very well, and have great cameras I am sure though ..

I used to hate notches, and they still aren't my favourite, but the Pixel 3 looks beautiful. And there is software out nowadays to "hide" the notch. I'm going to wait until review videos and until I hold the phone in my hand before I decide on whether or not I like it. :)

The writer of the article, Jesus Diaz, generalizes this year's Pixel offerings. He's beating a dead horse of an argument about the notch being a design characteristic of the Pixel 3 XL. Its coming and its larger than others but so what.

Display quality, software experience, camera quality, battery life and durability are more important than the "notch".

I think if anyone on the fence about pix3 this year , pick up a 1+6 wont be disappointed
Edit: non Verizon or sprint lol sorry

The 3XL has been beaten to death, I'm much more interested to see the smaller 3. Slim to no info on it as yet so ? That keeps me interested. bUt with my 2 still as good as it is the only thing I can think of to sway me over to a new 3 would be a more compact size. the current 2 is kinda large for a small phone.

You have an excellent point - it seems that all the attention is on the bigger 3 XL. It's unfortunate, as the regular 3 is going to be just as good. I guess it's mostly because people are more likely to be into bigger phones these days; and so manufacturers are making phablet leaks more readily available than those for smaller phones? Who knows!

Is there a pic of the 3 going around? All I can find is the XL.
Renders are indicating a 5.4" screen. With big bezels that's a whopping lotta phone for the "smaller" model.

From leaks I've been seeing

Well the bezels look less intense so maybe even with the larger screen size it will be about the same height as the 2.

if it true about 5.4" or 5.5" it should be around size of the Samsung s7 edge which is a sweet spot in size department

Won't be the same.

The Galaxy S7 Edge was a 16:9 screen at 5.5".
The Pixel 3 looks to be 5.3" but an 18:9 screen. So it'll be narrower than the S7E. Screen area will be more on the S7E.

Nope. The 5.8inch S9 is smaller than the 5.5 S7E (I had that before going to the smaller 9). It felt like a 5.2 inch phone, like the smaller S7. If the Pixel will be 5.4 inch 18:9, it would feel closer to a 5inch 16:9 phone than the S7E.
