When the screen turns off I can't wake it back up. Pressing the power button does nothing. Using the fingerprint scan does nothing. Eventually after several attempt using the power button the phone wake up and operates normally until I stop using it and the screen turns off again. And the cycle repeats. I have powered off to reset but that does nothing. Even the reboot process take longer as it sits on the google screen for a long period of time. I have not done a hard factory reset yet.

If it still happens after a factory reset, then contact Google for warranty replacement.

My Pixel 3 is experiencing the same problem. However, after a few days go by, the problem disappeared. It seems to do this off and on. Pressing the power button briefly solved the problem. A factory reset is too drastic for me as I have no other problems. Perhaps when the final version of Q is released, the problem will go away permanently. Good luck.

Are you running Q? If so, have you reported the problem at Issue Tracker? (If not, expect to see the issue in the final version. The only way things get fixed in Betas is if someone reports them.)

Then you don't know if it's already "gone away" or not.

As I have previously said. The problem comes and goes. If it happens again, I'll just quickly press the power button to get the main screen.
