Pixel 3 stand question

I've read articles that show they're seeing messages like, CHARGING RAPILY. I only see the message that the Stand is charging and the status of the phone. Where did I go wrong? Is there a setting to display the charging status? This is not a big problem but annoying as Hell. Thanks

Do you have Always on Display enabled? At the bottom of AOD where it displays the charge level is where I see it whenever I'm charging my phone. I see it whether I'm using my Pixel stand at home or cable away from home. After charging for a few minutes, it'll also show an estimated time till it's done charging.

Thanks for the response. I have AOD on but all I see is the charge level and a second of animation. Then my screen saver kicks in. There is no indication of how fast the phone is charging. What else could it be?

Your phone is going into screen saver mode when placed on the stand. You need to turn off screensaver in order to see the AOD.

Thanks. I tried your suggestion. Instead of my screen saver, I get a very dim screen and need to press the power button to resume. Any other suggestions?
