Before there used to be a way to alter call alerts and turning off during calls, but now that appears to no longer be an option.

Anyone find that setting elsewhere perhaps? Hopefully Android/Google didn't remove it as that was a crazy helpful setting.

I agree, and have not found any setting to turn off the constant "dinging" when I get emails or texts during a call either. I know this used to be in the settings, but after one of the updates, maybe Android O, that functionality disappeared. I think I even started a thread about it on the Pixel 1 forum, and I was told that there's no way to turn it off now because people wanted to know what was coming in while on a call.

If it bothers you that much you could swipe down the Quick Tiles and turn on DND.

DND is a terrible option considering you have to constantly turn it off and on. If Google went along with a minority of people who want noise and sound during a call (no way the majority of users want that due to the constant interruption) that's a bad business plan.

Has there been any update to this issue? It's driving me nuts. Only thing I can think of is to turn on "Do Not Disturb" each time. I've googled like crazy and haven't been able to find an answer. (This is the only thread I could find)

Thanks so much in advance!

I downloaded tasker and set up that when the dialer is on it goes to DND, seems to do the trick for now. Not sure how people aren't screaming to the roof tops about this.
