Hello yal. I'm interested in your input on my experience with my 3a XL. I held on to my LG V20 for 2 plus years. I had it in a protective case. No screen protector. I figured 2 years was long enough and I should get a new phone. I saw the google phone and thought " I use google for most things, lets try it out." I'm not a techi by any means. I just want to take decent pics n videos and my internet to run smooth. The pixel was doing that stuff just fine. My problem is I had my pixel in a protective case. I drop the pixel 2 feet getting out of my car! Note I have had my LG for two years, droped it while standing on a ladder no broken screen. I figured ok my fault let me take it to sprint I have insurance on it. I go to sprint where the repair people are at. They tell me they don't carry the screen and cannot order it! What, this is a brand new phone? Sprint said I would have to just pay $275 to issurance and they would give me a new phone. Hell no! I went to a third party repair shop. It cost me $175 because the Pixel has some unique screen. Damn. Ok I got the phone fixed. I get the phone back, I get a protective screen and put the Pixel in its case right away. The phones working fine. The next day I'm sitting down n drop the phone again from the height of a normal table. Broken screen, again! Dang! This is crap. I am back to my old LG. I don't want this Pixel anymore! Also google is no help at all trying to talk to anyone. I would like any input from simular experiences with Pixel screens, dealing with Sprint or Google. Any thoughts on what to do with this phone now. Paper weight? Thanks for your input.

Get a real protective case for your phones from now on - if Otterbox doesn't make a case for it, I don't buy it. (And that keeps it clipped into the holster, so I don't drop it getting in and out of cars.)

The "screen protector" protects the screen from scratches, not breakage.

Dropping the phone in a way that stresses a "cleavage point" will cause the screen to break - even from a few inches onto a hard surface. Any phone. Any TPU case with a lip that sticks out farther than the screen will do the job. But if you're prone to dropping the phone, you need the protection.

Unfortunately dropping a device is always risky. I don't like big bulky cases but they do protect better than minimal cases.

Yep Otter Box is the way to go..... I didn't think I'd like it till I put it on my phone. No more broken phone anxiety. If you break your phone in an Otter Box defender you planned on breaking it lol. I love those cases :-D
