Asking for a friend...

Several months in, if you have a Pixel 4 with the small battery, are you actually suffering because of it now? (after several OS updates)

Would you recommend it or point someone to the 3?

(Not 4XL)

It totally depends on personal usage, but for my usage the Pixel 4 has been totally fine, and I'd say slightly better than my Pixel 3. I work 16 hour shifts and after a full work day including commute (say 17 hours off charger) I'm at about 40% to 50%

Now I don't game, nor stream video on my phone. My usage is mostly messaging and web browsing with some music playback. I am not what you'd call a heavy user.

YMMV

I agree. I'm hoping to hear from a handful of people to get an overall sense. Your comments are very helpful especially since I think you are a similar type of user.

The Pixel 2 has about the same battery (2700mAh vs. 2800mAh), and I just run GSam to alert me when it gets down to 45% - I don't "suffer" at all. Never have, after about 2 years.

I just bought a pixel 4 xl from Verizon and the battery life is a adjustment but it all depends on how u use your phone , I can get a day maybe two out of it with 8hours of screen on time .
