There’s this guy on iMore forums who thinks that the Note 10+ is a complete copy of the XS Max design wise. It’s quite funny because the moment you disagree with him or say that Android devices are better in any way (no matter how small) than the iPhone he bombards you with a very long post with links to articles and pictures etc.

He won’t let the argument go either...he’ll go on until you leave the thread or admit defeat. One of the best debaters I’ve seen on a forum (despite the fact that I regularly disagree with him). He doesn’t know when to stop though.

Getting back to the original topic, I already mentioned this problem:



After watching an unboxing video of the coming Asus ROG Phone 2 and noticing that it comes in something similar to a triangular prism box, it gave me an idea. Screw these basic rectangular phones. We need more sides! 3 sides, 4 sides, 10 sides? And every one with either a screen or dedicated function!

But seriously, there's only so much designers can do to differentiate them visually while still remaining functional. It's not just for phones too. Look at something like a camera. Point and shoot cameras all a certain look. DSLR's have a certain look. Mirrorless ILC's have a certain look. Or heck, I almost mistook a Ford Excursion for a Chevy Suburban the other day because they look almost identical from the sides.
