Pixel 5 Stand Alone 5G T-Mobile

I've been using my unlocked pixel 5 on T-Mobile, noticed that it has Stand Alone 5g, but it still reverts to LTE when no 5G , figured it must if no 5G

Yeah, Preferred only forces it if both (or more) are available. But if that isn't available then it defaults to the best alternative down the list.

Nope, you'll have change your monthly plan to a 5g one but retain your sim(EE, UK Tmo)

I had the new R12 stand alone sim from TMO when I got the Note 20U but still didn't get the option, on the pixel 5 it did.

I did not have to change my plan...just stuck my P2 XL SIM in and 5G T mo 55 plan.
