Pixel 6 Call Screening Issue

Hi All,

Having an issue with the call screening feature on my Pixel 6.

When I select the screen call function I get the attached screen. No call screening occurs and the caller can hear me/I can hear them as if a normal phone call.

I am not able to hang up the call, the app stops responding until the other person hangs up. This is especially inconvenient because I am stuck on the phone with the telemarketer haha.

I am using a Pixel 6. In Australia with Telstra.

Assuming you've followed the steps from Smokeaire01's link, try clearing the app cache/data for your Phone app in Settings>Apps, then Force Stop it.

Thank you. The menus in my app are set up a little differently (not sure if this is of any significance) but I have these options selected. I have the call screen option but when I select it it doesn't work.

Hmm. Try also clearing the app cache/data from the Google app, since it's technically Google Assistant that's screening the call, I think.

Is it possible something is messed up. Factory reset time because those apps can't be uninstalled and reinstalled if they are the problem.

Could be a bug and probably needs to test out a few calls by calling himself to see if the problem persists.

Yes, Australia is supported. I have the call screen feature, it's just not functioning properly.
