In another thread (now closed) I wrote about keyboard issues on my original Pixel 6 Pro and the adventure of getting it replaced. After receiving the replacement I thought the issue was resolved and had the thread closed.
It turns out that it was premature. I just hadn't typed enough to experience the keyboard issue. Turns out the replacement has the same issue. Curious. Chatting with Google tech support they issued a repair authorization. I talked with Ubreakifix and they think it is a bad digitizer on the Pixel 6 Pro screens and not repairable, and with the closet shop over 90 miles away I didn't really want to take that route if I didn't have to. Reporting back to Google they quickly agreed to a replacement under warranty.
So in about ten days I'll be getting a second replacement.

Update: Now another weirdness, in typing this post I haven't had a single typing issue. I now suspect the cause is the haptic feedback. Right now it's off and I always had it almost full on. Maybe I need to rethink this exchange. Hmm .

Good luck. I wouldn't even let Samsung send me a replacement for a failed S21U I received last Friday; which I ordered after Google failed to keep delivery dates; I returned it for a full refund. I definitely would never try two of the same with one company. I sure hope this works out for you.

My experience has been quite the opposite. I've ordered Pixel Bud2, Pixel 6 Pro and just a few days ago the Pixel Stand Gen 2 without any major shipping issues, just a day or two off from the original delivery date on a couple of occasions. When I sent back my original Pixel 6 Pro I was surprised that as soon as Google received the shipping confirmation my replacement was shipped way before Google received my phone and the replacement arrived on the stated delivery date.
I've ordered many items from Amazon and had some delays by only a day or two. Delays just happens occasionally. No item was ever lost. Occasionally I received items earlier than the expected date.
So if I do decide to send this phone back (I have 14 days) I'm not concerned.

Oh, no! How awful! Please keep us posted! Maybe it is the haptic feedback and you won't have to exchange!

I posted my issue and the suspected cause over on Reddit asking for others to test it. Someone already replied and confirmed that the haptic settings did cause issues on the keyboard. In all the typing I've done between here and Reddit I've not had one single typing snafu. A major change from before. I'll wait until after the holiday to make a decision but I think I'll be staying with this phone. Besides I have the Pixel Stand Gen 2 arriving today or tomorrow and I don't want it to be lonely and feeling useless.

My experience with the pixel orders were terrible. Each time they get pushing the date back and I kept reading on here an other locations that people were ordering the same phone after me and receiving it while I sat around twiddling my fingers.
As for amazon...yea; normally, I have problem with them due to UPS (used to purchase all my dog stuff from Amazon, but since UPS failed to deliver on time or at a normal time, I jumped to Chewy; they use Fedex and never looked back).
I did learn that if you have Amazon ship to a Amazon hub locker, they will not issue a return label but have a driver come out and pick up the package when returned. Items I really want I have had shipped to the hub locker; two hours away. But I just combine that with lunch with some friends down in the civilized area of Idaho.

I still haven't ruled out the Pixel 6P or even the S22 ultra. I'll just sit back, browse the sites and see if google gets the bugs out and read "actual user reviews" on the S22U after it comes out. I'm a person who really respects having cell phone service where I live; took seven years before it actually arrived and now I want to keep it so a good phone to receive the signal is needed.

It works....

I decided to send my 1st replacement Pixel 6 Pro back and get a 2nd replacement. I took it to FedEx Monday and it arrived at Google-Returns right on time. Now to see how long to get the second replacement.
When I do receive it the big decision to make is do I side load the December update like I did on the previous phone or wait for the January update. I didn't have any issues with the December update.

I would let Google send out the update when it's ready... I think getting too eager, and side loading updates before a manufacturer is ready to send them out to the general public is playing beta tester. I want the fixed version that's ready for the masses... I like my phones to work, and because I'm not an early adopter, I've been fortunate enough to never have a phone breaking/bricking update.. or even an update with any major issues ;)

Let us know when you get your second replacement, and what you decide to do about the update!

Did you have the keyboard issue prior to side loading the December update?
I had the keyboard issue with my original Pixel 6 Pro that I received a week or so after release. So it isn't related in anyway to the December update.

Received my replacement Pixel 6 Pro today. Kudos to Google Returns for getting it here when expected.
It's all setup, November update downloaded , I decided to skip the December update even though my phone didn't have any issues with it. Now to do the all the app sign-ins and apply the temporary screen protector until the Whitestone protector arrives who knows when. Hopefully before the January update.
