I just want to start by saying that I don't usually get excited about things, especially when it comes to phones. However, in my opinion, Google really hit the mark with this one. From the build quality to the operation, I'm thoroughly impressed. I transferred all of my info from the P8P, as I was too lazy to do a clean install (thankfully, no issues came up). The phone runs smoothly, the fingerprint scanner works flawlessly, the camera is top-notch (as expected), and the AI features are pretty cool, battery life is stellar. Overall, I'm really enjoying the XL.

I agree 100%, this is the best Google phone they've made, it ticks all the boxes really really good job. I totally recommend this phone to anyone that is thinking about upgrading and it's even a good upgrade if you have one of last year's phone.

I'm in agreement. I bought the 9 pro xl. Came from the 8 pro. Thermals are better. Pretty good battery endurance and cellular connectivity. I am more pleased than I expected. I copied over everything from the 8 pro. Everything transferred without a hitch. Usage has been smooth, no hiccups.

I got rid of my Samsung S21 Ultra before switching to the P8P, now the P9PXL and I'm firmly in the camp. I've enjoyed the lack of bloatware, and some of the Pixel features like the call screening, circle to search, add me, and all of the other niceties. The hits just keep coming and I'm aboard for it.

After having severe trepidation and low expectations, I'm loving the 9 Pro.

The form factor is refreshing and the main reason for my purchase. Finally a smaller android with the same internals as its larger variant.

It does feel a little dull after oneui on my S24U, but the in hand comfort is the main selling point for me. ( Been looking for a smaller device due to both my hands being broken in the past and getting pain in them now. Must be getting old)

Coming from the Pixel 8 Pro. Do you guys believe that the Pixel 9 Pro XL is a serious upgrade?

I've had the phone since released and I think it's the best Google phone they've made I know nowadays upgrades year to year on not big but I just feel like they nailed it including much better reception and battery which are important to me. I like the new design build quality is excellent.

I agree

My only complaint is Obsidian is still the only option for the XL.

Google doesn't like giving carriers options?

I came from the P8Pro and recommend the upgrade for 1) Improved Battery life 2) Improved Connectivity 3) lack of heating issues.

The 9 Pro XL added 10% to my average daily use which eliminated any battery anxiety that I used to have. I used to have trouble connecting to Verizon in my office with the 8 Pro - the issue is completely gone now. After my 2nd week owning the 9Pro XL, I haven't had any heating concerns. It's been 3 months now since I purchased the phone.

I've owned the Pixel XL (OG), 4XL, 8 Pro and the 9 Pro XL. I think Google nailed it with the 9Pro XL. (I hope they don't screw anything up in future releases.)
