I just got a Pixel 9 Pro XL. While driving, it streams audio fine, handles phone calls, etc. However, if I get a text it doesn't show on the screen or read it off. If I go to messages on the dash, it lists who they are from but if I click on one it says it couldn't load the message. It was doing it just fine the first day or so I had the phone. My old pixel 6 pro worked flawlessly for a long time before one day doing the same. Just trying to track down a cause to fix it. Any ideas would be really appreciated.
The vehicle is a 2017 Toyota Sienna van. Just using a Bluetooth connection as Android auto doesn't work with it. I should mention that while using Google maps for navigation/directions it does fine. But, I suspect that it's the phone handling things then instead of the vehicle.
I'm running Android 15. My Wife is in a wheelchair and we have special needs kids, so being able to see when she needs to contact me is a huge deal. That's why I am hoping to get this straightened out.
