Was on their site(ATT) today and the chat popped up. So I asked when they were going to sell the Pixel, not expecting much. Well they said there would be announcement this coming Thursday. I take it with a grain of salt because of the current inventory situation and I don't see how they could all of a sudden carry them but we'll see.

AT&T will probably undercut the price of Verizon on the Pixel as revenge for big red bettering the price at AT&T on the LG V20..........

I read that to and was just surprised that a ATT rep would actual even mention it.

If I can sell my S7 Edge and get it off my plan ( its a local sale and the guy is going to meet me at the store so I can pay it off in front of him and be on my way), this might very well be my next toy

Not so sure about that as they are even going for the same amount on the Google site as they are on the Verizon site. I think as with iPhone these have a fixed price

In all honesty number 1 source for buying phones. Swappa.. pay less and get the same phone. You can also look into other online websites like Amazon and Ebay which will most likely also be cheaper than market price... I'm not quite sure why a lot of people tend to pay about 12-14% higher in value excluding sales tax just to get it at a store? Save the extra cash...save the sales tax and buy it online. You could always request next day air or 2day shipping and it will still come out to be cheaper than buying at a local store.

eBay's are quite pricey actually. Saw a pixel auction off for something north of $900 yesterday. A 32 GB black for Verizon. An XL 128GB was going for $1500. Didn't see any good deals at all.

Those are crazy prices reserved for the rich and famous.......

Did I read somewhere that the standard Pixel warranty does NOT transfer? I was planning on buying new for that reason.

I think that low supply (as of right now) and demand will keep the prices higher on Swappa, eBay, Amazon until the supply chain fills up and lead times drop to 2 weeks or less

Eh, that's fine if you pay for the whole phone. I would do AT&T Every Year and pay for half the phone before I trade it in. I don't want to pay $900 for a phone when I could pay $450 over the course if 12 months.

You best be damn sure you wanna keep swapping phones every 12 months tho, nothing wrong with being on an indefinite lease (basically) if that's what you want... The people that pay off their phone and sell it two years later do come out ahead tho, at least if they bought a phone that's worth a damn 1.5-2 years in.

Then there's the matter of insurance, seems like a must if you're leasing otherwise you end up having to pay off a broken phone in case of accident...

If this is true, that was one of the most short lived "exclusives" ever, not that it really was a true exclusive. Wonder why they even bothered, letting AT&T start pushing it in stores right in time for the holidays and only getting a few week's worth of exclusivity can't have been worth much to either party. Probably took a few weeks for buzz on the new brand to even build up

Never a fan of buying from useless carriers but won't complain since more people have their hands on at least better chance of more accessories support.

If AT&T sells it than that bodes well for HD Voice and other features that AT&T reserves for its branded devices.

I 2nd that. My S6 Active was the last purchase I made from the carrier under the NEXT plan. The rate at which Android smartphones depreciate speaks to where the market is at. They can be had gently used for hundreds less a few months after they are released.

Vowing to never sign up for a phone payment plan again, I decided to get on my own cycle of upgrades. I've got a pre-owned S7 Edge, with an S6 Active back-up device. Next year, I'll pick up a Pixel around this time, make the S7 Edge my backup and sell off the Active.
