Pixel Car Bluetooth Question

I'm coming close to my renewal date with Verizon and in the past have dabbled with Android devices (mostly a longtime iPhone user). One thing I have disliked about Android devices in the past is how they work in a car. I do not like touching my phone while driving.

On the Pixel, if you say "OK Google" can you then interact with the phone via Bluetooth or are you talking into the mic of the phone?

What I like about the iPhone is the ability to say "Hey Siri" or hold down on the home button and it will show up as a phone call to you in the car. Was hoping for similar functionality with the Pixel.

Thanks for any info.

If the music source in the car is set to the Pixel, OK Google works through the Bluetooth in my car.

Thanks, so say I have XM Radio set as a source, bluetooth doesn't switch over automatically? That's how it works in my Hyundai with the iPhone.

I suspect that's dependent on the software in your car. If it works for the iPhone I would think it would be the same for the Pixel.
