Android Central Question

I have a Pixel 2 XL with the original charger. Last night I plugged it in and it wouldn't charge, so I used my GF's charger, which made me think my charger just died or something. Today I went and bought a new one and came home to find that the new one won't charge my phone either.

My GF's charger and spare charger she got for her moto z3 work. My old charger that I had for my nexus 6p works. The 18w pixel chargers I have will not charge my phone. I've tried different cables, different outlets, safe mode. Nothing. My car charger works fine too. No idea what's going on here.

Whatever it is, it has to go to a repair shop and since it;s a Pixel 2 XL it should still be under warranty. Contact Google support. (Yes, you'll get a refurb, but your phone isn't new either.) Oh - back the phone up, of course. (Even without unlocking the bootloader, you may be able to boot the TWRP .img file (https://twrp.me/google/googlepixel2xl.html) and do a data backup - then copy the backup file to something else (a PC, your Drive, anywhere. When you get the replacement, boot it with the TWRP ,img file and make a data backup (you can name it junk) just to create the proper folder structure. Then boot normally, put your real backup where the dummy backup is, boot the TWRP .img file and restore the real backup. (Everything - even game scores, etc., will be restored.)

Are you saying that none of the USB-C <> USB-C chargers will work but all of the USB-A <> USB-C chargers (I'm really referring to the cables that you end up using with these respective chargers, but I'm getting at the charger type with this question) work fine?
If that's the case then I'd agree with the previous poster that something is not right. However, it could be that it's something as simple as a dirty USB port on the phone. Before requesting a replacement from Google (or your original place of purchase) you could try cleaning the port out. You can try:
- compressed air
- a clean toothbrush
- a wooden toothpick
Be sure the phone is turned completely off before attempting any of this. A bright light and magnifying glass would help. DON'T BEND ANYTHING INSIDE THE PORT! You're just trying to get any lint, pocket fluff, etc out.

I had this problem with a used 2 XL I bought. The C to C charger did nothing but it would charge with every A to C charger that I had lying around. Of course, I had the added joy of the phone shutting off whenever I plugged it in. I took it to a repair shop and they thought there was a short somewhere inside. I wound up returning the phone to the seller.

My point is, there are a lot of similar stories out on Google very similar.
