Pixel hardware division org change

Marc Levoy who is the camera mastermind no longer works at Google. Looks like lots of reorg.

Also never a fan of Rick Osterloh who is the head of Pixel and former Motorola exec. Other than bending over to Verizon/carriers not sure what in terms of innovation and leadership he brings.

Let's see how it pans out but doesn't look great at the moment.

Haha, yeah I read that as well. Here's another article.,hopefully better things to come with the new Pixel 5s that's all I've got to say..The only disappointment to pick the floors in my opinion was limited restricted photo storage at original quality and Google photos for cloud storage. That's about it because that's what I still have on my Pixel 3X.

A very recent ORG change will probably not have a lot of impact as far as hardware except for something minor on the Pixel 5

Yeah well, I think that's what we're all hoping for! But if one of the designers who created the image processing left, that might be a bigger deal down the road you know what I mean?

Software is easier to change at the last minute. Having said that it's usually an entire design team working on stuff like that.

Oh yeah, definitely, for sure! having an expert software engineer is essential on this team that's for sure!
