T-mobile is running a half off deal on the A71 5g. Comes out to 300 dollars. How does the Pixel 4a compare? It's an extra 50 dollars as of now. Does one bring something to the table that the other does not?
Have you made a purchasing decision yet, OP? I would personally lean towards the 4a - though both devices are a great bargain! It's definitely a preference thing at this point, as both devices will get the job done for you just fine!![]()
NiceWent with the A71. 5g seems a bit more future proof. It has a better chipset as well. Battery life seemed to be a bit better as well.
This came in my feed today, comparing the 4a with the A51. One if the cons is that the 4a has a plain design. Other than a centered hole punch can and gradient color on the back, the A51 looks almost identical.

Weird how it's being called "plain" when the two phones are quite similar. I've always loved the look of the Pixel series.
I know. The "gradient" scheme on the back of the phone isn't really anything more but a different color. Actual design wise, they're really no different. Which isn't to say I dislike the design, I like it. I just don't think the 4a should be docked for what is essentially a color choice.
5G is not a big thing yet. Very limited availability. LTE is still more than adequate IMO. Biggest difference is screen size. 5.8 vs 6.7. Of course pixel will be supported for much longer than A71
