Hi All,
I my current phone is dieing (Sony Z3c) which is a real shame, because its served me extremely well for the last 6 years. My only quibble with it was maybe the camera is not as good as I would have liked. Anyhow my brother had a pixel a couple years ago, and I recall thinking that it would be a good replacement for the Z3c if it ever died.

Is there any reason to get a current mid range phone in the $200ish price range over a 2016 pixel? Also I was on ebay and saw some links to brand new 2016 pixels being sold for around $140

Anyone got these and found them to be legit?

The 1st gen Pixels' last month of guaranteed security updates was October, so if that's important to you, you might want to consider a refurbished Pixel 2 or 2 XL instead. Otherwise, the 1st gen Pixel I got for my parents last year continues to work very well.

I think the original Pixel is a great smartphone if you want something cheap. I just replaced my work phone Moto G7 with the original Pixel XL that I bought on eBay in exceptional condition for less than $90. It is faster and has more features than the G7. If you want something cheap, it may be the way to go.
