So I have the Bose qc35 Bluetooth headphones. It works seamlessly with my Galaxy S8 plus as well as my lgv30. However on my pixel XL 2 the Bluetooth connection is lost every few minutes requiring me to power off and back on the headphones so it will reconnect. Same issue with my Samsung Smartwatch losing the Bluetooth connection with the pixel XL 2. When I spoke with Google tech support the other day they told me they were not aware of any Bluetooth issues which is BS and we all know that.

My question is how many of you are having connection issues with Bluetooth devices connected to your pixel XL 2?

No issues so far with my LG Bluetooth headset -- Or in my truck. Both stay connected as they should (in the case for my BT headset -- all day at work).

Plantronics and Blue Parrot both connect instantly, they are both set to phone only so they do not interfere with my radio's audio.(Which are set to Audio only, since I do not want to take or make calls with them) 3 different vehicles, no issues. 8.1

Did you "bring" your Bluetooth connections over from your previous phone?

Try going to Settings -> Bluetooth -> More settings -> [tap the gear icon next to your earbuds] -> Forget.

Now, re-pair your earbuds and see if the problem persists.

I had trouble connecting a Bose Bluetooth speaker; it just wouldn't connect.
Someone (I can't remember what forum) suggested turning off Wifi and Bluetooth Scanning. This actually helped me, and I was able to connect.

Settings > Security & Location > Location > Scanning

This loses connection sometimes within seconds of reconnecting. I really have a hard time believing that Google would have overlooked the Bluetooth issue once again. Other than this man I have no issues with this darn phone.

thanks for the tips mentioned above by both of you. The Bluetooth and Wifi scanning is interesting because I did not even know that it was there in the settings. Somehow I have not come across it. When I get a new device usually I will go through every setting one by one... It's a very tedious process but I like to be familiar with my devices 100%. also I'm going to attempt to forget Bluetooth connections. I've already done one factory reset and I thought it fixed my problem because for about a half a day I did not get disconnected. The problem is back and was probably just coincidence that I didn't get disconnected for a half a day.

Problem solved! Turning off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi scanning fixed my issue. I haven't been disconnected in about 24 hours and I used Bluetooth almost all day. Not disconnected once... Thanks for the advice man.

Interesting that Google support didn't offer any solution other than a factory reset.. Which I did to no avail.

Well, FWIW, I have both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning enabled, use a pair of Jaybird X2 earbuds at the gym 75 minutes a day, five days a week, and never have them cutout. I also connect to my car's (2017 VW Passat) audio system with no issues.

So, I'm not sure exactly what your problem is, but I don't think it is directly related to having scanning enabled.
