Pixel XL locking up

I'm not having any issues either but I don't use my Pixel everyday

I'm experiencing this issue. It's locked up on me maybe 5-8 times since I got it at the end of October. Last Monday it froze while writing a text message, so I rebooted and it immediately froze again when trying to resume texting. Had to reboot a second time and then it seemed okay. I'm definitely frustrated.

Has anyone had their Pixel completely lock up? It's happened to me eight or so times over the past couple of weeks. It seems to be completely random and requires a reboot.

My phone hasn't locked up on me one time. It has done some weird freezing on occasion, but that's usually an app that's not acting right. I have over 140 apps installed and my Pixel runs smooth as butter 99%of the time. I have reset my device when I uninstall apps. And, I also reboot when I leave or enter beta programs for certain applications.

Which texting app are you using? Many of us just aren't experiencing this. Do you have any 3rd party apps. I have one and it's Adguard. It's excellent for banishing all of those ads and pop ups and sliders while browsing the internet. I've noticed that the aggressive ads absolutely affect your phone's performance. To give an idea of how many advertisements have been blocked since the 21st of October. See below... You can't tell me that all of those unwanted ads don't affect your phone's performance. It has blocked nearly 1 million advertisements in a little over a month. If there's a reason to leave Google for iOS, unwanted advertisements would be it. And, mostly, Android users have no defense when iPhone users say they hate all of the ads in the Android OS.

In my Google settings I have my switch toggled to the off position so it doesn't show ads tailored to what I am browsing . Maybe that helps a little. At least in my case I think it has as I barely see any ads. I also use Brave as my browser that has ad filters and I check it everyday just to see what it's blocking as I does catch everything but I haven't seen anywhere near the amount you are seeing .

When I go to my Mac at home that's another story as I get tons of ads and pop ups on that and it definitely slows me down

It was frustrating enough I was about to switch back to my S7 Edge. I uninstalled an app called Life 360 and have had no problems since.

I think it could be Facebook videos, when I watched some last night it froze the phone and even after 3 restarts keep freezing. Then after 4 th restart immediately clicked the running apps button and closed fAcebook, didn't crash since

I have life 360 too, may be will try it too.. Is there other alternative app for this?
