Pixel XL signal drop

I have had my Pixel XL for a month or a little over now and am having weird signals drops at random. I believe this may be a common problem, but I'm not sure. I will be sitting still and have full bars of signal and then all of a sudden the signal will drop to no bars at all. After a little bit it will jump back up to full signal. It has happened at several locations and it is not just at one location. I installed the newest update several days ago and it didn't seem to help any at all. It has actually seemed to make it even worse if anything. I live in the USA and have the phone through VZW. This gets very annoying sometimes. Does anyone know or has anyone heard when google might be fixing this problem?

I'm on my third pixel now and all of them have and do suffer from the hollow bar issue. There are some other forums as well that have addressed this issue and for some it has improved with the latest update and for others I have been reading made this existing issue worse. You are not alone

Yet others have mentioned that the hollow bar issue improved with the latest update but the signal has gotten worse. I suffer from both of these issues but am running the beta. Wish there was an answer or permanent fix but with this phone being out for as long as it has I'm very doubtful a fix will ever come unless something changes when O comes along. Either way you look at it, still too long without a permanent fix as far as I'm concerned

If it's hardware, odds are a software update won't fix the problem.
