Play Store 4.8 Update?

Anyone else still waiting for the 4.8.x Play Store update (with PayPal support) to be available? It's been over two weeks since the initial announcement and when I tap the build number on line, it still says "up to date".

I'd prefer to not sideload a downloaded version, but don't know what else to do (I've cleared the app data/cache, system cache, and uninstalled updates).

Do Google's slow rollouts normally take this long? Thanks for any perspective / ideas!

I'm still on 4.6.17 in the US, on my Nexus 7.

Still 4.6.17 for me.

I just went into the settings in the Google Play store and tapped the build number. A popup said "a new Version of Google play store will be downloaded and installed." I had 4.6.17, now I have 4.8.20

Just tried that and it did the exact same thing without seeming to download anything. Hunh.

I just did the same thing. It downloaded and installed in the background.

Yeah mine appeared to do nothing. I closed it, swiped it away in the open apps screen and when I reopened it was updated.

Please excuse any typos or autocorrect derps.

I've got 4.8.20 on my XT1053 (T-Mobile version). I think it updated a couple days ago. I don't see anything about PayPal options (in fact I can't see where to manage my payment options at all), but maybe it will show up if I actually buy something.

I think tapping the version number doesn't necessarily force an update. The update is still a rolling one, so if your device isn't scheduled for it yet, you'll be told that you're up to date.

^ I never said I cared about it. I just didn't want other people to have it without me
