Play Store Apps update

I'm on Verizon, it seems like everyday apps need to be updated. Is this normal???

Yes, that's normal, and it has nothing to do with your carrier. Apps are updated for a variety of reasons, but most updates fix bugs, modify the user interface, or provide new features.
