Basically wanted to praise the play stores customer service. Had the pleasure of using it for the first time today.
I allowed my brother to use my nexus 7. He asked if he could download some magazines for our trip coming up. I instructed that he only grab the ones with the free 14 day trial. Don't know if any of you out there have used it but they have a decent selection for the trials. I tried some of them before when I got the tablet to see how it works and what not. For some reason the play store still allows you to re subscribe to a previously canceled magazine subscription, under the impression that it is a free trial. But it will actually charge you for the subscription because they obviously are not going to let you keep getting free trials of the same product.
So I noticed a couple of $40 charges for year long subscriptions and of course was like wtf. I looked through their website and found the link to contact them. You put your phone number in, type out your issue, and then they call you pretty quickly to connect you with a representative. The guy I got was really nice, and cool and had great customer service. I am no snob and don't think every service agent has to drop on their knees or bend over for me...but I just appreciated how great this guy was. Best customer support I have experienced over the phone. Up there with Amazon and Apple.. just wish phone carriers would get on board with that type of service. He understood and explained that I am not the first individual who had that issue, and that the team is looking in to ways to correct that in the future to avoid confusion. Quickly refunded me and we even chatted about other android related things for a few moments. Even got a personal follow up email from the guy who helped me. He thanked me for calling and said its great to hear from customers. Said for any issues in the future I could actually reply to his email directly or of course visit the website. Great job Google play support team !
