Play Store not working with market launcher

Since the update from the old market to the Play Store, the quick launcher for the market at the top of my app drawer is no longer working. Any work around?

I am also experiencing this problem, so a work around would be greatly appreciated.

Try to uninstall Playstore, reboot the phone, click the Market quick launcher again to see if it prompts you for an update. Try to update it again.

Doing something like this fixed it for me. Read thru here for some fixes. One of them should work:
