IMO... It has nothing on the v20. Boring interface, hardly any customization, don't like the half and half back. The blue color version was wild though. Glad I went with the v20

Pixel just has a better batt, camera and, processor. I'm coming from an n7 and the pix batt is wayyyy better also faster processor

i agree. the pixel interface is very bland and boring. feels like an old phone. and the plastic square on back is odd.

I always use my phones naked. I think the Pixel is butt ugly IMHO. If I got one for free.... I would have to put a case on it.....

Frankly I would choose the 7 Plus for the 256GB model, if between the two.

Pixels are for iPhoner's trapped in the closet :)

Choosing between pixel and iphone would probably make me go iphone again but it need to be jailbroken but there no ios10 jb yet if there is one then I would have to get the phone right away as apple seem to patch thing faster now.

My brother has a Pixel XL, I played with it for a while last night, it is a good phone, but nothing special and looks just like an iPhone to me. I like my V20 better.

It is not a pretty phone but that may be because we're used to something so much better looking, the V20

I'll be neutral on this.

Here are the objective advantages each phone has over the other. There may be more, but these are the significant ones.

Pixel XL
  • Smaller form factor, so it's easier for some people to hold.
  • Slightly better processor (although I would argue that you would be hard-pressed to notice the difference)
  • Brighter and more efficient display panel
  • Better Auto camera processing plus better HDR
  • Faster camera
  • Leaner UX w/ more consistent performance
  • Guaranteed timely updates for 2 years for OS upgrades and 3 years for security patches
  • Larger battery w/ USB Power Delivery (so it doesn't break the USB-C spec)

LG V20
  • Secondary display can prove to be useful for quite a number of folks
  • Larger display works very well with Nougat's Split-Screen feature
  • Base model has more storage (with the option to expand via microSD)
  • Secondary wide-angle camera adds more flexibility
  • Native camera app provides the user with a plethora of controls, especially for video (this is a big deal)
  • Stronger DAC and amplifier performance from headphone jack
  • Replaceable battery when you need it

I didn't go into some aspects such as design, because as the saying goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so it's always going to be subjective. But I hope I managed to add some nice info to this discussion.

Also, consider this as a little friendly mod note, but please note that the OP began with "IMO".

That means that he is sharing his own personal opinion.

I've mentioned before that it is totally fine to share an opinion, no matter where it stands, and people are free to even have a counter opinion, so long as they abide by the rules in order to ensure a friendly, informative discussion from different viewpoints.

In short, follow P.U.P.P.A.H. and you'll be all set. ;)
