Using the ICS ROM I can play short Youtube videos fine but if I play one of the longer one say 45:00 mins it will crap out and cause the phone to reboot. Is anyone else having this problem?

Arjen's kernel 2.6.35.10-perf-cm9 Jun 19 13:18:31CEST 2012
CM9 version RC0-P505-UNOFFICAL

Iv seen this issue reported on the dev thread for the optimus one port. i think one of the dev said the issue is related to the missing openmax lib

I spoke with someone on the #cyanogenmod on freenode and they said the same thing. I'm not sure I agree though. Why would I be able to play some of the video and not the rest. Its not like it craps out depending on the quality, it dies randomly after the video has been playing for a while. If it was a missing codec or library shouldnt it not work from the moment you hit play?

I have been searching for a solution for this problem a long time, but untill now... nothing.

I don't understand why the video couldn't be back ported to GB. If this is really an issue with the video drivers couldn't the GB drivers be used without the implementation of all the extras that ICS has that our phones will not do anyways? Maybe I'm over simplifying it in my head I'm not a very good programmer after all.
