Playstore update!

So just got my S24 a week ago and today got the February Security update but the Google Playstore is still on July 2023 with no updates available!

Anyone know why that is? or how to get most recent update?

Because Google hasn't seen fit to update it themselves yet?

It's the Play "System" - background services - and Google decides if they want to update it or not. Nothing we can do about it until they release it to the particular version of Android on our Samsungs.

Pixel devices are updated to January 2024, so clearly it isn't google

Samsung / Google are probably just being cautious and rolling it out slowly since the initial launch was botched

Ya, that's on Samsung not Google. My P8P is on January and I believe our backup A71 is as well.

It probably starts rolling out soon but Samsung devices are always behind at least a month , pixels usually are up to date , my Fold 5 is January still and we are almost March. Just be patient with new devices on the market they take a little more time .

I did say "for the particular version of Android" on these phones. Meaning that Google is holding it back because of something going on with Samsung's One UI 6.1.

I'm pretty sure my previous S20 FE was more recent too, but that was also still on 13 (One UI 5.1).
