Please confirm if SQUARE will run on this phone?

Hello,
I usually post in the HTC Sensation forum but recently my wife's small buisness has been growing and the need for a Point of Sale system like Square has been increasingly necessary.
She doesn't have a phone currently and really doesn't want one to talk and text on. All we really need is a data plan. So I've been looking into the available phones with inexpensive "no contract" obligations.
The Optimus V from Virgin Mobile seems to be a fair price but I need to confirm that Square will run on it.
Square's website claims it will run on "most" Android phones running 2.1 and up and has a screen resolution greater than 320x240. It also says it will most likely run on any device where Square shows up in the market place.

So my question is; does anyone using an Optimus V use Square and does it work okay?
If not, would someone with an Optimus V phone see if Square shows up in the Market Place and whether it says the device is supported?

Just downloaded it from the Market and it runs fine. I don't have the actual Square reader though, so I can't verify if that works.

I would buy an OV and try it over WiFi to see if it works. If it does, great! You can start your VM plan. If not, you can return it.

OIC, buy the phone outright, try it, then purchase a plan thru Virgin. Got it!

I think I'll go this route. Kinda wish I'dve gotten one of these for myself instead of locking into a 2 year contract with T-Mobster

I just got the LG Optimus S Slider through Virgin Mobile and got a Square account. Square works fine! I was having trouble at first because I didn't push the square reader in until it clicked.
