Please GOD, somebody tell me how to STOP that damned Samsung whistle! (Galaxy S5)

I have my ringtones set to what I want. I have my VM and text tones customized. But those DAMNED push notifications for apps are ALWAYS that FRIGGIN' WHISTLE. I don't WANT push notifications with SOUND; all I need are the status bar ones. If I block notifications on each app that does this, I STILL get that DAMNED WHISTLE from, for instance Samsung begging for my Facebook profile info--and I have push notifications from FB blocked! This has been going on for over a MONTH now, even after I gave up on the S4b as killed by Lollipop and got the S5.

One of the FIRST things I do with a phone is turn off all the annoying sounds and set the notification tones to what *I* want. I *DO NOT* want that damned whistle! Verizon and Samsung are USELESS on this issue.

HELP!!! (Sorry for all the shouting, but I'm beyond pissed off at this point...)

disable or even uninstall samsung push notifications, they're only for samsung apps aren't they? i did it on my galaxy ring because the freaking woo hoo wo hoo hoo was making me crazy. ( try changing your text notifications to "your a jerk" zedge, and then get in a texting fight with your bf while getting ready to go somewhere, you'll throw the F**king thing at a wall) lol
