please help, charging problem

Yesterday I dropped my note2 into a sink of soapy water for less than a second be accident , since then I dried it with a hairdryer and the phone works as it should, the only problem is that it wont charge when on, I have to reboot by going into the android menu, whicch is done by the vol up, menu and power and reboot from there which the charging cable in the port. This is really annoying and would appreciate if anybody could tell me hpw to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.

Your device is likely not full dried.
I would suggest to place it in a bag of uncooked rice and leave it there for a few days.
Rice acts as a natural absorbent and will draw all of the moisture out.
