Android Central Question

hi guys!
I am looking for a new phone and feel lost after watching all videos.
I broke my p20 pro so it has a hole on the place of the home button (the back of the phone and the display are also looking not very pleasant). apart from that it is fine and I love it so I am very sad I have to change it.

I really like the samsung 10,10+,20 and 20+ but they all do not really have great batteries and this is a minus to me. I am in Europe, so snapdragon is not available here
I need a good camera and good battery. I also would like my phone to not be this huge.
At home there is a p30 pro but I feel like it is too huge and curved for me.

I really fancy the OnePlus 8 as well, but it is a bit expensive for a oneplus and is not officially waterproof nor dustproof which is a minus for me. so not sure and camera does not look 10/10 on videos.

I am not sure if a p30 pro or a p40 pro would be a good investment for 2-3y since they do not support google anymore.

What would be your suggestion?
Good cameras, not too huge, good battery

I have an exynos S10+ and it has had several updates since its first release (although I got mine in February and it is up to date). It runs Android 10 and OneUI 2.1 has improved the camera no end. I used to own a pixel 4xl so I am used to excellent cameras. It has loads of functionality as well. The batter life is good and the phone works really well. I am ever so happy with my purchase. So I wouldn't write off this phone at all. For the money you can get them for now I heartily recommend it.

Welcome to Android Central! If it's available in your area, consider the Pixel 3a or 3a XL. Both are inexpensive, have the great Pixel camera software, and have quite good battery life despite the size of the batteries.

id go for the p30 if you don't like pro, the apps will still be supported if you need Google, I have a p40 pro myself and I have been loving the freedom :)

The LG V-series phones may be worth looking in to. The new V60 is a little on the large size, but tolerable. They generally have the best manual mode for both photos and video, and the auto mode on the V60 has been getting race reviews as well (their auto modes have historically been lackluster). Battery life has been stellar too.

Welcome to Android Central! If you like the OnePlus 8 line but would like a phone with an IP 68 rating, I believe the OnePlus 8 Pro is IP 68. However, the size and price point may not be desirable.

With regards to size, I agree with Kirstein - the S10e is pretty much an S10 in a smaller package! You're just missing the telephoto lens. But I have seen some pretty great shots from the S10e. There is an S10e "Photos" thread here - check it out! :)

Also, please let us know what you decide!
