This is no Android related query but in any case please help me figure this out...How do I know whether a device can be used inside a car ? As in whether the power supply inside my car can power it or not ?

For instance I recently bought a room air purifier and I was wondering whether I can use it inside my car as well? I checked the specs on the website but I'm confused. Its the Clair-BF2025 model here (Clair-BF2025 Air Purifier | Go-Clair).

Can someone please take a look and revert with a reply here.
Thank You .

Here is the data from the specifications table: Product Manual (View as webpage)

It shows the air purifier only draws 1 Amp on the 12 Vol DC that your car produces.

Quite possibly it has a Plus to let you plug it right into your dash?-- Looks like you are all set for running it in your car! Mack :)

I wonder why you want to use this air purifier inside your car ? You can use just an air freshener right ? You can try plugging it to the cigarette lighter port. Maybe it would work ...not sure.

There is no reason why you can't as long as the 12v outlet can coupe
In the past they were know as cigarette lighter sockets and had a 20 amp rated fuse
Now your lucky if there 5 amp so that needs checking

Well I have severe wheezing problem so I cannot use just some air fresher or something very cosmetic so I wanted to specifically use this air purifier because these are the only things which can help me cope. Cigarette lighter port ? How?

Can you please help me figure it out ? I checked the website and this is what is given under product details

Power Supply : Input AC 100-240V/50-60 Hz
Output DC 12 V/ 1 A

What does this mean ?

OK the Input AC 100-240V/50-60 Hz is from the Mains socket the AC 100-240V Is the Voltage depanding on your country
the Ouput 12V/1A is 12 Volts with a 1 Amp Load
Now Most Cars Have a 12V outlet or What they were Known a A Cigarette Lighter socket

Now there
sku_230831_1.jpg
The sockets are Rated at MAX 24 Amps on 12Volts
Now if you havent got one of these Outlets you need a Auto Electrition to wire one up fo you

Thanks a ton . I have this socket in my car. My friend lent me an inverter to test and it. I used the inverter to connect the air purifier to the socket and it seems to work just fine. I had no idea it was this easy .

If you see now you have the socket a Auto Electrition you may not need the inverter Just a Plug to go into the socket of the car and a plug to go into the Air purifyer. But at least you no it works :)

I guess for the time being I'll use the air purifier with the inverter . It should suffice for now but just curious .. what exactly is Auto Electrition ?? I've never heard of it before and when I look it up on google I'm not getting any relevant results .
