Please help me stop the app optimisation notification.

As the title says, I can't stop my s6 popping up daily (or more like middle of the damn night) notifications about 'app optimisation'.

I dont want to turn off the optimisation of apps, I just don't need a reminder at 4 am every morning that the app optimisation menu exists on the phone.

I have discovered the notification is coming from smart manager and suprise suprise under the notification settings for smart manager, the usual option to turn off notifications you get with every other app is simply not there.

What the hell is going on? Why would the phone need to notify me of this every day and please please before I smash the phone to pieces and buy an iphone again (and I really don't want to do that) tell me how to turn it off!

This is really annoying this included app unfortunately your only way of disabling the notifications is to disable the service or app I have been using Android for years and haven't found a need for App Optimization

Try Downloading the app "Disable Service" from the App store and finding the "Smart Manager" service and the app should stop it from running

I have downloaded the 'Disable Service' App, It lists the Smart Manager but gives the message 'Failed to gain root access' when trying to disable it.

It's getting well beyond a joke now that this notification continually pops up, even more ridiculous that there is no way to stop it. Is it possible to downgrade my version of Android? The stupid f**king thing never happened before the last update ands I just want it gone.
If I am woken up in the middle of the night once more to be alerted to the fact that there is a menu in my phones options the phone is going to have to be returned. I'd prefer to live with ios, itunes and all the crap that comes with it than have every single f**king night of sleep disturbed because of a stupid phone!

Have you tried going to Settings > Sounds and Notifications > Applications and blocking them from Smart Manager, or have you just tried checking the box under App Info?

Yes, its an app that requires root.

I am also worn out by the notifications so I have disabled the optimisation option (click on the message and switch it off).

The other option is the V5 option 'Do not disturb' - I use this to stop middle-of-the-night phone calls except from my family. It's easy to setup and I really like it. Setup/Sounds and notifications/Do not disturb. Set a schedule and a start/stop time and allow exceptions for important people.

Stupid, annoying, and invasive app that can't be disabled without disabling g wanted notifications. Did the developers so invent this crap app? Because it's the worst thing android ever invented!
