PLEASE HELP!! new prime user

Hi I just got my Asus Transformer Prime last week after finally finding it in stock. Ive been using it for a couple days now and have been noticing that it has slowed down a lot and is always shutting down and even sometimes rebooting the while tablet. When I go on a simple site like ebay it takes at least 15 seconds for it to load a page. I you have any advice please help me, I really don't want to return this tablet its really nice. Thank you for youre help!

Have you applied all of the updates?

Or do a factory reset if update don`t work then update to latest version again, just let it sit and update, it will reboot itself. Hope this helps

are you possibly running in Power Save mode? Try turning on Performace mode see if that helps.

If a Factory Reset doesn't fix this, I'd contact your seller or Asus and get a replacement.

Hi thanks for all the replies I have updated and now I will try to reset it. Do you know if this might maybe be a problem with the Wi-Fi dropping?

It very well could be your problem. If a reset doesn't fix it, it's safe to say it's a manufacturer defect and it's time to contact Asus. Come back and let us know what the solution was!!

i also just got a prime delivered yesterday after waiting for them to be in stock somewhere. i'm pretty disappointed with the wifi performance... my prime has a hard time watching an hd video on youtube when the galaxy tab 10.1 and regular transformer ive been messing around with have no problems at all.

i tried the "squeeze" fix but dont think its made a difference. when i use wifi analzyer on the different tabs the prime actually shows up with a similar signal, but it just seems to drop so often while streaming videos it makes it almost unusable.

i really dont want to have to return this and stick with the galaxy tab 10.1 because i realllly like everything else about the prime more (other than the sharp edges vs rounded edges on the galaxy tab). any ideas?

I just restored mine and it worked! Its going really fast now and is very smooth compared to what it was before. Thanks everyone for youre help!

I get great wifi performance. I have full signal and have had no issues streaming or browsing the web, playing games, etc. Have you experienced this issue with any other wireless connections? Or maybe there was some issue with the way your Prime came from the factory. Since you just got it, can't hurt to do a factory reset and see if you see some improvement.

What do you mean by manual, you mean without using the touch screen? As in, you can't turn it on?

If it's not turning on at all, try holding down the power button for a very long time. At one point my Prime wouldn't turn on at all. It just shut itself off and wouldn't turn back on. I held down the power button for probably about 20 seconds, then I got a vibrate and it turned on.

If you can't turn it on, what did you do? Were you flashing a ROM? Or did it just happen? Either way, if the problem is that you can't turn it on, I would contact Asus.
