please help phone will not turn on

I gave my droid x to my mom last night. I factory wiped it and we called vzw and activated it to my moms number. Today she said it just turned off. When you power it up or remove the battery and restart it shows the moto logo and then the red droid eye but won't boot up. The screen goes black after a min or two and the phone is off. Any help PLEASE.
