Please help with battery for a new prime

Hi guys
I just got my prime last week, and I spend 24hrs for its 1st charge. However, I didn't use as long as specs said, which should be 8hrs using, I watched tv online for about 2hrs and left one day sleep, I didn't totally turn off. After that, I did my 2nd charge which I let it charged for 12 hrs, but it showed only 82%, not even full. Then I plugged it in, and it didn't show my prime charging while I was using. I clicked in Battery option; it told me 82% - no charging, though I was plugging it in. I have no idea now since this is my first time using tablet. One thing is that i havent downloaded any app yet, so it is Pure. Should I talk to Asus customer service? I'm worrying that if i contact them, i would face some same issues like others. They deny that they accept my package if I'm sent. Please help me!!! I'm really appreciate for your help

Are you charging with the charger that came with the tablet, or are you charging from a computer's USB port? The Prime won't charge from a USB port unless the Prime is asleep. And even if the Prime is asleep, it won't charge as fast from USB as it does when using the charger.

Yeah I use the wall charger; I never charge it from the laptop. So u meant the prime only charge when it's asleep only. I though it would chare like other device; I can use while charging though it would take longer. When I let it's asleep, I plug in, the prime is vibrateing as the electricity goes through. I heard other users said that they let it charged overnight, and it would be full charge in the morning, ready for using. Mine seems wrong or I did something wrong. So, how long does it take you for a full charge? And how long can u use after that? Thanks very much

The Prime doesn't have to be asleep to charge from the wall charger, but it does have to be asleep to charge from a laptop/computer. And if charging from the wall, you can use it while it charges, but it takes longer that way.
I can go from 0% charge on both the dock and the tablet to 100% overnight. If your tablet doesn't charge 100% overnight then something is wrong.
I have read that some chargers for the original Transformer, and to a lesser extent, the Transformer Prime haven't worked quite right. In some cases, people put their charger in a sealed plastic bag and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes, and after that the charger worked.

Just one last thing, does urs show chargiing when u charge it? I mean the battery icon shows it s running or "charging" word next to the battery icon. For example, when u click on Setting then Battery, and it will show percentage-full, does it show anything when u r charging it, some kind of notice thing. Im kind stupid when it comes to technology. Really appreciate for ur help n time
