My texts ring on the watch and phone. I'm fine with that. If I read it on the watch, the phone continues to send alerts. How do I stop that and get them synchronized? I would like to read text on watch and have phone then quit alerting me. Thanks for helping!

Re: Text message help please

It may be the app you're using. I say this because it sounds like issues I've had in the past with app badges and other similar alerts to unread messages. Some won't go away until they are swiped from the notification bar, even if the app was opened and messages read. Seems silly but for me this was something caused by the app.

I have a watch 4 so it could be something with the watch 5 OS but I don't have this issue with Next SMS. Does your app have a watch companion app? I've only used Next on my watch so it's all I know.

Try Samsung messages or Google messages app. I can't imagine that there would be major issues, especially with Samsung messages.

I cannot find the samsung message app anywhere. Suggestions? Thanks!
Look for messages. It could be in the Samsung folder also. Message badge is blue with white box in center with 3 dots. It looks a lot like Google messages. You can also type Samsung messages in search bar in the app drawer

EDIT...I just noticed this is in the watch 5 forum, my bad. On your watch, open up the playstore app, it's in the app screen, just swipe up to see the apps on your watch. Once in the playstore app search for Samsung messages and then download it.
