Hello everyone,

I currently have an HTC Rezound and recently upgraded to the "leaked ICS" firmware and it is up and running...I tried to root the device and I recently posted as of a week ago "In need of help, may have possibly bricked my phone"..I asked for the proper root files or what not and never received a response because the ones I recieved from the user "wanda" were no good and I am not sure what to do..

FYI...The ICS leak has a lot of bugs in it and was wondering how to revert to the original firmware..my battery life seemed to have gotten worse since I updated it..

Thank You

By brick do you mean that it does not turn on? Or will it turn on ut it is acting funny (powering off randomly, booting into recovery.....

Thanks man I appreciate that, and one more question for ya..is there a way to enable beats audio with google play music?..let me know thank you

Your rooting method didnt work for me..and its confusing because I did it differently the first time...I AM ON THE LEAKED ICS...idk if that makes any change in the process??..

And for that beats audio mod..XDA doesn't explain the process on how to flash the beats audio mod..so idk lol

BUT does it give you the same sound is the question?...

Depends on how sensitive your ears are. I didn't think there was much of a difference but I actually prefer DSP Manager because it can also EQ the phone's speaker which I use when I'm working in my garage.

So you're still not rooted huh. Did you at least get the Amon-Ra recovery installed? Yes the process is different than the first time you rooted because HTC plugged the hole that allowed people to root. This method of going into your recovery (Amon-Ra) and installing the superuser app that way is the newer way to root. You can also root via the method from the Team BAMF site...which ever is easier...probably the way that Mr. Smith has listed in his guide

You flash it like flashing a ROM, or a mod, or anything really. Download what ever it is you're trying to flash, put it on the root of your SD card not into any folder. Reboot to recovery, go to the "Flash .zip" menu, go to "Install zip from SD card" (may not be exact wording but its something like that.) Scroll to the file you want to flash, select install and let it do its thing. When it's done back out to the main menu and reboot the phone. You're done.

Yes I got the beats audio thing figured out and no im still not rooted..and I can boot into recovery which is the screen with all the green print and what not and i did install superuser and used the app root checker basic and it came up saying my phones not rooted..I followed the step necessary and still don't understand what the problem is lol..you know how frustrating it is..damn! lol:'(:-\

You need superSU for the ICS leak(there's a link in my guide)

Ok, when I rooted the leak, here's what I did.

Installed su & superuser in Amon Ra
Installed superuser from the market(which didn't work)
Installed SuperSU from XDA
Updated su binaries from inside superSU I think...

After that everything worked.

I tried updating the binaries in superSU and it failed..i installed superSU from the android market..now your telling me you did it from XDA?..you say one thing in your rooting post and now your saying another?..confused..
