Hello everyone

I just purchased an HTC One, actually swapped over from the Samsung GS4. Anyways, I'd like to hear peoples take on my battery's life.

It's been 4 days, and 5-6 times recharged, so hopefully it's settling in.

I usually unplug it from an overnight charge at 7:00 AM, and by the end of my day at around 5:00 it's down to 10%. So that's about 10 hours of checking text messages, streaming Pandora, watching YouTube, playing a turn by turn game, checking email, taking a few pictures, browsing websites, checking Facebook, and chatting on group messagin app.

Of course not all of it happening at the same time or through out the 10 hour period.

I probably get 2 texts per hour, stream music for a good total of 2 hours, watch Youtube a total of 1 hour, taking 5-10 pictures, checking FB/Websites a total of 1 hour, and keeping up with group messaging app.

I have Auto Sync off, Auto Brightness off, email is checked manually, kill tasks as often as possible, headphones used when watching/listening (not the using the dual speakers). I also turn off Mobile Data when I'm connected to wifi, and vice versa. GPS/Bluetooth are also turned off, when not used.

So how would you rate my battery?

I've also started using Snap Dragon Battery Guru...but it's still learning.

Here's a screenshot:

I would say that's not too bad. Can you post a screen shot of the battery stats? That would also help us understand what percentage of time each app is running and if something looks to be unusual.

It seems pretty good considering you do need a few charge cycles to settle in. I would also like to see screen shots of the battery stats.

Sent from a SlimROM S3.

Based on what you posted, I would say your battery has been good. Pandora and YouTube for 3 hours in itself drains the battery quite a bit. What's your screen on time?

The best thing would be to install an app like Gsam battery monitor that keeps track of your screen time. Screen time is the best Gauge.

Ok I didn't use Pandora or YouTube at all today. Started using Gsam battery app: 25 min of Screen time, phone radio 1:25, wifiactive 0:11, held awake 0:14, Bluetooth 0:15...and at the end of 12 hrs I have 10%. That's as minimal as I can get w using the phone. Shouldnt I have more battery left? I'm starting to thinkI might have a faulty battery. I did runtask killer every now and then to make sure there isn't anything running in the back.
