Plinking sound after every notification

Hello, I'm new to these forums. I'd like to know if there's any way to fix my problem. Every time I get a notification alert, immediately after it, my phone makes the same sound it would make when you turn the volume back on after having it on silent. This mostly happens when I restart my phone, then it will stop after a day or two but lately it's been doing it for longer periods of time. If this is a setting, I've never set it to do that and it's only something that started a few months ago so it hasn't been doing it the entire time I've had this phone. Would certain apps cause it to do this? Or is it a problem with my phone overall? Any help would be most appreciated as it is driving me crazy. My Android version is 7.0, Galaxy S7.
