Does it look like something is pushing it out? The battery technology used in mobile devices can sometimes experience a phenomenon referred to as "bloating" or swelling. This will make the device start to separate at the seams and is actually a very dangerous condition. If this is, in fact, happening you should back up all your information from the device ASAP and discontinue use of it as charge and discharge of the battery can worsen the swelling.
